Workshop Details

OSE Forums

We will be hosting on-going OSE Forums via Zoom for you to join and learn about the latest updates for Recognized Student Organizations, as well as ask any questions that may pertain to your own student organization. Here are the first set of forums:

  • Monday, September 23, 2024, 3:00-4:00 p.m.: Zoom Link
  • Wednesday, September 25, 2024, 12:00-1:00 p.m.: Zoom Link
  • Thursday, September 26, 2024, 2:00-3:00 p.m.: Zoom Link


RO Workshops: Learn How to Reserve Classrooms

RSVP to an upcoming Registrar Classroom Workshop to go over how VSOs can book a Registrar scheduled classroom. The Registrar’s Office manages many classrooms on campus and VSOs can request Registrar scheduled classrooms for free. The Registrar’s Office launched a new way for VSOs to request classroom space this quarter, and we will go over their new process and policies during the workshop.

  • Wednesday, November 6, 2024, 2:00 p.m.: Zoom 
  • Friday, November 8, 2024, 11 a.m.: In-Person (Old Union 215)
     

New Leader Training Workshops

  •  NOT for Newly Approved Orgs (those will need to do a different new organization training).
  • Geared to presidents, financial officers, and project managers of student organizations; you will have an introduction to student organizations at Stanford, your role and university expectations. You will also learn how to use information about OSE, important policies, and event planning and budgeting.
  • Led by Office of Student Engagement. Contact Student Engagement
  • Join the Canvas Course "Student Org Management"and then go to modules to see the workshop

Core 10 Training

Presidents, Vice Presidents/Co-Presidents and Financial Officers of your student organization are required to complete the Core 10 mandatory trainings:

  • Core 10 via STARS: Student Organization Policy Training (OSE-2000)

The deadline to complete the Core 10 training is Friday, October 13, 2024. We encourage you to have additional leaders in your organization take the training. As a reminder, the Core 10 policies were rolled out in Winter 2022, and we continue to welcome your feedback.

New Organization Leadership Training

  • For newly approved organizations
  • Required for president(s) and/or VP and also FO for newly approved student organizations. Fulfillment of this is required for full approval.

Haas Workshops

Best Practices for Working with Youth Workshops

Haas and OSE offer a training for all student organizations who plan programs with youth, whether on or off-campus or for an event or on-going tutoring and mentoring. Learn about best practices including safety and emergency training, and developmental appropriateness.
