Tree Tip

The evaluation of an event venue should determine if the space aligns with the event's strategic goals and can meet all logistical needs, including capacity, technical support, and safety. It's also critical to confirm if the venue management allows for student-organized events.

Notes on reserving space for your club:

Who can book space?

Recognized student organizations can hold events on campus and reserve space on campus to meet. Individual students can use the resources that are available to them through their department and other affiliations if allowed by the venue manager.

Lead time needed?

Most space reservations such as classrooms need a minimum 7 days in advance. Large events require a minimum of three weeks and often much longer. Please see critical deadlines for the venue before you begin. For last minute suggestions, try a community center or residence space, or visit the OSE office for advisement.

Venue accessibility?

For information on which spaces on campus are accessible, see this campus guide & map.

List of venues?

While there is no comprehensive listing of all campus event spaces, the SERENE Discovery Tool outlines some of the most frequently requested sites and how to reserve them. Questions about these venues should be directed to the reserving entity.
