Let’s YAP! Event planning, fundraising, NVSO, FestiFall, Cardinal Nights, VSO logos, merch, and anything else we can provide guidance on. The team of professional staff will be in office to advise on their respective areas of expertise.
🛑 End-Quarter Period 🛑
During the End-Quarter Period, no musical, dramatic, or athletic events involving student participation may be scheduled, unless approved as exceptions by the Committee on Undergraduate Standards and Policy (C-USP), nor may routine committee meetings be scheduled (such as those of the ASSU, the Senate of the Academic Council, or the committees of the President of the University) when such meetings normally would involve student participation. Good luck on your finals, papers, presentations, and projects!
🌲 The Stanford Fund Partnership Program 🌲
The Partnership Program provides supplemental funding to support the high demand for student organization resources. These funds are designed to complement other available ASSU and university grants rather than serve as a primary source.
Applications will open Week 3.
⚡️ Corporate Fundraising ⚡️
Off-campus fundraising requires prior university approval. Organizations must attend the upcoming mandatory training sessions before soliciting any corporate entities.
Applications will open Week 7. More information about mandatory training sessions will be shared Spring Quarter.
🎟️ Ticketing Reminder for Events 🎟️
Choose between Humanitix and Eventbrite for your student organization’s upcoming ticket sales. The ASSU has secured discounted rates and vetted both platforms as the top options for student groups. Visit our website to compare features and select the best fit for your event.
🐘 Political Activities Policy 🫏
To ensure compliance with university policy, please remember that Stanford remains a non-political, non-sectarian institution and must not be used as an instrument for outside organizations. Student groups and departments are strictly prohibited from "fronting"—the practice of sponsoring or scheduling events primarily to grant off-campus entities access to university space, resources, or the Stanford name.

Outgoing leaders should begin orienting their successors at least 2–3 weeks before their terms end to facilitate a seamless transition. This process includes transferring access to digital platforms like Slack and Drive, updating your annual registration in CardinalEngage, and reviewing financial systems like GrantEd and the ASSU. Be sure to share recruitment strategies, organizational history, and providing contact information for outgoing officers will help the new team feel supported as they take over.
🆕 Student Collectives 🆕
Student Collectives are a pilot program that offers a streamlined pathway for Stanford students to foster connection without the administrative requirements of a formal organization. Designed to be informal and community-centered, these student-led groups prioritize shared interests and organic engagement over complex programming. Student Collectives may work with recognized student orgs to produce things they cannot for mutual benefit of their campus communities.
