Welcome to the magical week đą! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend, which was jam-packed with events. If you were able to get tickets through Cardinal Nights, you got to see the SF Giants be triumphant over the Aâs đď¸âžď¸and the Bay FC destroy Angel City FCâ˝ď¸. Overall, this weekend was full of victories for the bay! In other news, I enjoyed my favorite national holiday, Bay2Breakers đđď¸, where a red crayon ran to the finish line ending with a time of 58:31 for 6.38 milesđđ˝ââď¸ (donât mind the pause for yapping)! Pace needs some work, but luckily, I get one more attempt next year.
Speaking of finish lines, arenât you all excited that we finish classes in less than 2 weeks? I know assignments are piling up, but please do not forget that you must submit reimbursement forms by June 13, 2025 đ˛đ¤! Ask for those extensions on your midterms, but definitely donât forget that getting your bagđ° reimbursement has a sharp deadline.
In all seriousness, I hope you are all thriving and enjoying the sunâď¸đśď¸. To our seniors, thanks for your service and for leading your student organizations (but please donât forget to transfer your executive positions for next year).
Thatâs enough of me yapping. I need another iced latte and a nap STATâď¸đ´!
With joy,
Miguel Tejeda, Class of 2026
Stanford Escape featured on the Stanford Report!
Stanford students from Stanford ACM/Robotics Club built an escape room from scratch in the Packard Electrical Engineering Building, with interactive puzzles and a custom laser maze. More than 600 participants came out to put their problem-solving skills to the test.
Student Org Notes
Off-Campus Fundraising
Student organizations must receive university approval through the Office of Student Engagement and Office of Development prior to fundraising from corporations. Approval must be requested in the Spring quarter to fundraise for the next academic year. The final training session will be Friday, May 16 at 5pm via Zoom (link will be shared the morning of the meeting). Please fill out this form to RSVP and provide 2025-2026 leadership contact information so we can communicate training details and important updates. Be sure to complete the annual re-registration process as well.
Student organizations will be given access to the application form in Cardinal Engage after all 3 authorized officers have attended training. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 30th.
GrantEd
The deadline to submit all outstanding reimbursements and payment requests in GrantEd for this academic year is Friday, June 13. If you need a physical check for pickup before move-out, your request must be submitted by Friday, June 6.
With many VSOs already transitioning leadership, we strongly encourage you to settle any outstanding expenses now to avoid delays in payments to students or vendors. Issues often arise from reimbursements submitted weeks or even months after a purchase. Submitting them sooner allows you to resolve potential issues, such as obtaining a missing receipt, more effectively.
Re-Registration for Student Orgs
CardinalEngage has a blue bar at the top of your dashboard awaiting your clubâs re-registration! Now is the time before academic priorities begin to heat up. This yearâs form has been streamlined to a third of the size compared to last year. Re-Registration is mandatory for your club or it will go dormant. Dormant-status clubs are not allowed to participate in FestiFall because they are no longer a recognized student organization. Click on the image or click here to check out our How-To video.
