Tree Mail Week 7: No More Tricks, Just Treats
Arbor Live Halloween Party
BOO👻! Or should I say, IT’S TIME!!! 🦃🎄
Welcome to week 7… Welcome to November… Welcome to Midterms (again📚). I hope you all enjoyed your extra hour of sleep this weekend and had a spooky Halloween! I spent the days with my friends and enjoyed all their costumes. With the same joy I experienced this weekend, I wanted to thank those of you who have completed the OSE mandatory training, as well as the additional training that accompanied it. We appreciate you so much! 🎉 If you haven’t yet done the training, please get it done ASAP 🤨
With that, we wish you all the best of luck this week!
Talk soon, and I hope this week treats you all well,
Miguel – Class of 2026

Thank You, Taylor Navas!
As Taylor embarks on her next professional chapter, we want to take a moment to express our thanks for her tremendous contributions to the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) and to student life at Stanford University.
Throughout her time with OSE, Taylor has exemplified professionalism, dedication, and care. She consistently put students first, helping them realize their organizational goals, navigate complex university systems, develop meaningful college experiences, and create their communities at Stanford. Her leadership and creativity have shaped OSE’s key programing, from organizing Festival to guiding OSE’s work in the NVSO process, and countless other critical but unseen pieces that helped everyone who entered her orbit.
Beyond her direct work with students, Taylor played a key role in strengthening OSE’s internal systems and practices, helping the office operate more effectively and sustainably. She also recruited, trained, and mentored our OSE interns, earning their deep trust and respect. She is a trusted mentor.
During a time of transition for OSE, Taylor’s flexibility and generosity ensured continuity and supported new team members as they came aboard. She has been not only a valued colleague but also a genuine friend to many.
While we are excited for Taylor as she takes on new professional opportunities, we will miss her greatly, both for her many contributions and for the kindness of spirit that she brought to our team every day.
End Quarter Period
End-Quarter starts seven full days (to begin at 12:01 a.m.) prior to the first day of final exams. In Autumn Quarter, final examinations are on Monday, December 8-12 (Mon-Fri) so the End-Quarter period begins on December 1st.
As per the policy, during the End-Quarter Period, no musical, dramatic, or athletic events involving student participation may be scheduled, nor may routine committee meetings be scheduled when such meetings normally would involve student participation.
The last day to host events in academic spaces in the Autumn Quarter is Sunday, November 30, 2025. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Please note that Winter Quarter classroom requests will not be processed until after the Registrar’s Office completes Priority Room Scheduling in December.
Engaging Companies
Just a friendly reminder that we're here to support you in planning meaningful events that align perfectly with Stanford's educational mission.
We know you often partner with companies and other external entities. When those relationships come up, we need to make sure we assess how your student organization is working with them. It's all about ensuring everything stays on track with Stanford policies.
To get the ball rolling and understand the right way to engage with these external partners, please take a moment to review the website. If you have any questions at all about working with companies, don't hesitate to email us. We're happy to help!
