Omg how is it already Week 5? 😭 I hope y’all are enjoying your Spring Quarter so far! This past weekend, I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the first time with Cardinal Nights! I honestly had so much fun getting to see so many cool marine creatures 🐠 at the aquarium 🥰 Speaking of not-so-fun things, lots of us have midterms coming up (if we’re not done already)! I actually just took my CS106B midterm this week… yeah…
At least it’s over with! Onto bigger and better things, like conquering new topics and prepping for finals 💪
Anyways, we hope you all have a strong performance on your midterms during this part of the quarter! Come and wash your worries away while swimming at the AOERC Pool this weekend during our Dive In Movie Night! We’ll be showing Mamma Mia! (fun fact: I was a featured dancer when my high school performed Mamma Mia! the musical) on Friday, May 2nd at 8pm! 🫶
Have a great rest of your Week 5!! 🥳

Student Org Notes
Re-Registration for Student Orgs
CardinalEngage has a blue bar at the top of your dashboard awaiting your club’s re-registration! Now is the time before academic priorities begin to heat up. This year’s form has been streamlined to a third of the size compared to last year. Re-Registration is mandatory for your club or it will go dormant. Dormant-status clubs are not allowed to participate in FestiFall because they are no longer a recognized student organization. Check out our new video below or click here.
Off-Campus Fundraising
Student organizations must receive university approval through the Office of Student Engagement and Office of Development prior to fundraising from corporations. Approval must be requested in the Spring quarter to fundraise for the next academic year. To begin this process, 2025-2026 leaders (President, VP, FO) are required to attend a training to learn about fundraising guidelines and the approval process. Training sessions will be held May 14th (Wednesday) at 3pm and May 16th (Friday) at 5pm. See an overview of the fundraising timeline here.
To prepare for training, student organizations must first elect new leadership and begin transitioning roles. Please fill out this form by Friday, May 9th to RSVP and provide 2025-2026 leadership contact information so we can communicate training details and important updates. Be sure to complete the annual re-registration process as well.
Student organizations will be given access to the application form in Cardinal Engage after all 3 authorized officers have attended training. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 30th.
