✅ OSE Emails to Student Org Leaders
YES, it is that time of year where you have to start packing those bags and making the trek back to Stanford 🌲. While you are at it, here are some ⏰ timely updates you need to know about for your student org concerning NSO and beyond.
NSO Policies
Reminder that all student orgs must abide by the New Student Orientation policies as follows:
Events Policy: During NSO, student organizations and groups are not allowed to host events or parties for new undergraduate students. Any programming during NSO must be coordinated with the NSO team.
Organization Membership: No incoming undergraduate student should be offered organization membership or asked to represent a student organization until the conclusion of the New Student Orientation period.
Recruiting Student Organization Members: Student organizations are not permitted to recruit new members for their organization before the second day of New Student Orientation (eg added to listervs). More information can be found in the NSO Policy.
Student Organization Advertising and Flyering:
- During New Student Move-In and the first day of NSO, student organization recruitment, flyering, chalking, or tabling anywhere is not permitted.
- During the New Student Orientation period, dorm and/or dining hall recruitment is permitted only with specific permission from the residence staff (RFs and/or RAs).
Student organizations wishing to conduct normal advertising and flyering beginning the second day of New Student Orientation, may do so provided that they follow university policy for such activities.

New Website, New Me
The Office of Student Engagement is proud to share our big summer website revamp. Thank you so much for your patience while we were navigating through the process and learning from the feedback from our student leaders, student workers, and campus partners.
We've added a BIG search bar to the homepage to help users find the topics they need. Our previous navigation was not intuitive for student leaders, so this update should make it much easier to find information and improve the website's usability. We're using data from your searches to understand what you need and how to get you that information faster.
