About Us

Overview

We are in the middle of a transition to a new office and name! Please bear with us as we update our site.

Office of Student Engagement (formerly Student Activities and Leadership) staff are dedicated to help students find community and foster passions while developing leadership and life skills.

  • We support all recognized student organizations, advise ASSU and the sophomore and junior class council, and offer leadership development and training.
  • We help individual students connect with student organizations and other activities outside the classroom.  
  • We work to cultivate a student community that values inclusivity, equity, respect, collaboration, and balance.

General Information

  • Location: Old Union, 2nd Floor, Suite 206
  • Office Hours: 8 am–5 pm (Mon–Fri).
  • Peer Advisor Hours: Weekly calendar  
  • All-OSE Drop-In hours: Wednesday, 3-5pm.

Peer Advisors

For most needs it is best to start with OSE Peer Advisors, who are experienced student leaders and excel with financial, banking and event-planning advice.

Peer advisors are available on a drop-in and scheduled basis about several hours a week - including the summer!

About Ankita: Ankita came to Stanford after working at other universities in California, Texas, and Ohio. As an undergrad, Ankita held leadership positions in the South Asian student organization; a mentoring and tutoring organization; her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi; and in new student orientation. Ankita's favorite part of working with Stanford students is how driven they are about their ideas.  Ankita holds a master's degree in higher education and student affairs from The Ohio State University and a bachelor's degree in child development with a Spanish minor from Vanderbilt University.

About Alex:  Alex returned to Stanford after backpacking around the world for 150 days. Her experience coordinating a variety of on-campus events makes her THE go-to person for all of your student event related needs. Helping students is her passion, which motivates her to bring their ideas to life with flawless execution. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Cal State San Bernardino and she enjoys lifting weights, trying new foods, dancing at concerts, and sunflowers.
